Daily Life and the Energy Transition: Why Metals, Minerals and Long- Term Missions Matter. Ep057

July 5, 2022 By Michael O'Sullivan

In this episode, our host JoAnn Meyer talks with Ashley Zumwalt-Forbes, Energy Entrepreneur, Mining Company Founder and ESG Driven Board Member about how the US and the entire western world’s lifestyle and lower carbon future are at risk due to the lack of secure supplies of electrification and rare earth metals. The energy transition and goods that we are hooked on today are increasingly dependent on – not Washington, not Wall Street – China. “China controls 95% of the world’s rare earth metals supply chain.”  Without these metals there are no laptops, cell phones or wireless technologies. Ashley shares how she and the companies in which she is involved are working toward a more sustainable future.
